These drills are a required part of our safety procedures and help ensure that students and staff know how to respond in the event of an emergency. Please note: • This is only a drill and there is no cause for concern. • Teachers and staff will guide students through the process in a calm and supportive manner. • The drill will be completed within the school day with minimal disruption to learning. Thank you for your patience. Here is the updated drop-off/pick-up procedures.
-The entrance will remain the same.
-Front Drop-Off/Pick-Up: PK3, Daycare, 1st, and 6th grade.
-Back Drop-Off/Pick-Up: PK4, Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. -Traffic for these grades will drive between the main building and the portables, then exit through the back gate (Gate #2) and through the alley to Barnes.
-Older siblings will go to youngest siblings area.

This will minimize traffic on Los Ebanos and provide a safer route for our parents/students.

Parent Notification:
Today, the fire alarm went off due to a faulty issue with the main panel in the main church. The fire department responded, and it was confirmed there was no emergency. All students are safe, remained calm, and are now back inside. We provided water and are continuing with our normal schedule.

Hoy, la alarma de incendio se activó debido a un problema en el panel principal de la iglesia principal. El departamento de bomberos respondió y confirmó que no hubo ninguna emergencia. Todos los estudiantes están seguros, se mantuvieron tranquilos y ya están de regreso dentro del edificio. Les dimos agua y continuamos con nuestro horario normal.

Vanguard Academy is open 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. The district will be closed the week of June 30th through July 7th and will return on July 14th. Our modified work scheduled will run through Friday, July 25th. We resume regular work hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, on Monday, July 28th.

Congratulations to our Rembrandt Secondary Seniors who worked diligently to complete their requirements and obtained their nationally recognized South Texas College Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification, and to a few more that went the extra mile and also obtained their Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. We are certain that this will be a stepping stone to a promising future for you in the medical field.
